Your existing database is working fine but you need to extend or modify it. Unfortunately the original designer is no longer available...

We can take over responsibility for the ongoing design and maintenance of your database. After a short familiarization period we will be ready to continue where the original designer left off. We will develop and document to industry best practices so you will always be in a position to take the design back in-house or outsource it to another third party should you wish to.

Some clients use us to develop specific new functions for a database, often when the requirements are too complex to handle in-house. At the same time they need to retain the ability to continue general development in-house. This is no problem - we have the flexibility to work with our clients in whatever way suits their particular needs.

Key Benefits

  • Relieve overloaded internal resources
  • Get fast, professional results
  • Implement features requiring advanced programming techniques
  • Extend your in-house knowledge and experience of Access
  • Benefit from our experience across a wide range of applications

Capabilities

We can offer help at several different levels. If you know exactly what you want and simply need it turned into a design, that's fine. If you would like us to be more creative we can discuss the pros and cons of different approaches with you and help you to develop the optimum specification. We can even step right back and review with you the whole business process and the way it should be modeled in the database. It's your call!

Advanced programming techniques
Access can be used at many different levels. It is really easy for the occasional user to get into, but at the other end of the scale it has the power to meet the most demanding requirements. Achieving powerful results without sacrificing performance may require a level of expertise beyond the occasional user, which is where we can help.
Business application experience
One of the most interesting aspects of database development is the opportunity to see inside a wide range of business environments. We get to see how business processes are modeled within databases. We see what works ... and what doesn't. We won't try and teach you your business, but we can usually help you to avoid the more common pitfalls when it comes to modeling your business processes in the database.
